This bit is best used for training and schooling your horse, as it helps with maintaing a more consistent contact, rather than encouraging the contact in the first place. It works by the Angled Lozenge encouraging a softer feel on the tongue, thus making the horse more comfortable and responsive. The angled mouthpiece ensures that the lozenge can reside on the centre of the tongue, and also takes up much less room in the horses mouth, making the feel down the rein much lighter, and of a higher quality. We offer the 16mm mouth option of this bit with 70mm rings. Always try out a new bit in the prescence of an experienced friend or trainer as you cannot always factor for how a horse will react.
