The product simply paints on through the help of a built on applicator, and although it does not need removing, if you wish to, all you need to do is scrub it off with a bristly brush and warm water. We've found the best way to apply this product is to ensure the horses hooves are completely clean and dry first, then using the applicator, squeeze any excess product back into the pot, then apply to the hoof. Starting from the top where the coronet is, work your way down towards the shoe, then, after the first coat is dry, a second coat can be applied if necessary.
