Horses that work hard have to maintain and regulate their body temperature, and to do this they sweat! While it may seem completely normal, consistent or excessive sweating can often result in a loss of vital body salts and fluids, necessary to maintain energy levels and health. If the horse loses too much of these body salts, it can cause him to become fatigued, and even start to affect the health of his bones, muscles and cartilage. Electro Salts from NAF blends all the necessary plasma salts to prevent this from happening, and it is best fed after hard work, or during longer periods of hot weather where excessive sweating is likely to occur.
