Equine America Pro-Gut Balancer

Equine America Pro-Gut Balancer is a unique blend of pre and probiotics to promote optimum digestive function and to maintain the health of the microbial population. It is particularly beneficial for use on performance horses to prevent gut upset during intense training and changes to the routine caused by travelling and being away from home during competitions.

Pro-Gut Balancer helps to promote synthesis of important B vitamins and vitamin K by the gut microbiota, and enhance digestive function and energy production from dietary fibre sources (between 60% - 70% of the required energy the horse needs comes from microbial fibre digestion). It also maintains the pH balance in the hind gut by preventing the colonization by pathogenic or undesirable micro-organisms which can lead to metabolic dysfunction, while also helping to boost immunity.

The triple-action function of Pro-Gut Balancer of pre and probiotics with added mannan oligosaccharide (MOS) is on a highly palatable alfalfa and linseed base. It should be fed for 10 days prior and 10 days after any stressful activity such as moving yards, broodmares going away to stud, youngstock beginning sales prep, travelling (specially if travelling overseas) and when courses of antibiotics have been administered. Elie competition and race horses in constant intensive training and competition programmes may benefit from longer term usage

Feeding Directions

For a 500kg horse during periods of peak disruption feed 30g per day. For maintenance levels feed 15g per day. Do not exceed 60g per day. A 900g tub fed at 15g per day is 60 days supply.
