Why does this girth feature a D-Ring?

This girth features a D-ring in order to accommodate your Martingale,Breastplate or training aid without interfering with the comfort of the soft padded girth against the underneath of the horse.

Why does it have elasticated ends at both sides?

The elasticated ends create an even distribution of pressure across the girth and saddle, which makes it all round more comfortable for the horse especially when the horse gives exaggerated movements such as jumping a fence.
