What is a double bridle?
A double bridle consists of two bits: the bradoon (snaffle bit) and the curb. It also consists of two sets of reins. You usually find a double bridle being used in Showing classes and Dressage.
What are the purpose of two bits?
The bradoon (snaffle) acts in a way elevating and bending the horse whereas the curb causes the horse to give the neck and bring the head towards the vertical.
What is a Crank Noseband?
A crank noseband is designed to be fastened snugly around the horse’s nose, without a buckle to dig into the back of the horse’s jaw. This style of noseband can be used with any type of bit.
